How do I upload?

Drop files or a folder anywhere on the listing, or use the upload form at the bottom of the page. Large files upload in chunks and resume if the connection drops. Click the status line to cancel.

What do the manage options mean?

Every file and folder has a manage menu:

• public: anyone on the internet can see and download it, no account needed. A public folder opens everything inside it.
• allow download: grants access to a specific user, a group, or all signed-in users. This is not public: you still need an account.
• share links: a link like /s/xyz you can hand to anyone, optionally with a password, an expiry, or a download count limit.
• move: rename, or drag the item into another folder by typing its new path.
• delete from beefhole.net: gone for good. It asks first.

Who can see my stuff?

Nobody unless you say so. Uploads start private: only you (and admins) see them. And if a file is visible to someone, they can download it: there is no in-between.

Why can't I manage a folder?

Folders belong to whoever owns the files inside. A folder with someone else's files in it has no manage menu; only full owners (or admins) get one.

How much space do I get?

Your storage line at the bottom of the page shows it: a total allowance, an hourly upload cap, and a per-file ceiling. Big files ride out the per-file cap in chunks automatically.

What happens if I delete my account?

Ask an admin. Your files go with it, so transfer anything you care about first; admins can also reassign your files to someone else.
